Microsoft discontinued extended support for XP in April 2014.
The support can unfortunately give no help with problems with Windows XP.

But you can buy a new version of the Windows operating system and install it manually. If the device is only a few years old, an update should be possible.

Usually firewalls do not block outgoing connections. Should the setting still be this way, then ports 80, 443, 1935 to 1942 must be open.

(If you don’t understand anything, show that to your computer administrator)

The hint with the ports could also be a good tip for users with problems (rarely).
It’s worth a try!

Every now and then it can happen that your picture gets stuck in the showsoft. If the program notices this, the following message appears in your chat:

"Your webcam only delivers a frozen image.  
Click "here" to start the cam again. The Showsoft restarts automatically. 
Active users in your chat are NOT lost."

Do it as it says – that should fix the problem already. If this happens more frequently, please send us a message.
